Turkish FM meets Khaled MeshaalANKARA: Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Hamas supremo Khaled Meshal met in Damascus, the Anatolia news agency reported on Tuesday, a move that threatens to fuel new tensions with Israel.
During the meeting Monday, the two men’s efforts to bridge the gap between the Islamic Hamas and the Fatah faction of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed cure, Anatolia said. The Middle East peace process was on their agenda, it said.
